MARUHAN Japan Bank Lao Co., Ltd. (MJBL) has adopted the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing (AML/CTF) Law for application across Lao PDR and participating as a financial institution implemented under the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) is one of our priorities, including in the long-term development strategy of the organization.
MJBL is committed to complying with the laws and regulatory obligations imposed by the country in which it operates. The Policy provides a uniform and consistent standard for MJBL’s compliance with Anti Money Laundering. We have created mechanisms, policies, and procedures related to the implementation of AML/CFT consistent with domestic laws and regulations as well as international standards which include building plans, risk assessment and management, KYC and CDD implementation, collecting customer information and transaction detail, making and maintaining a relationship with PEP customers and correspondent banks, data storage, reporting on suspicious transactions or activities and the use of information technology to support in tracking customers continuously.
To carry out the works of AML/CFT, MJBL has a standard automated system for AML Solution to help on screening customer transactions and conduct AML/CFT training courses for our staff regularly.
