On December 13, 2024, MARUHAN Japan Bank Lao participated in the signing ceremony for the subsidiary financing agreement under the MSME A2F-ESR program, a key initiative supported by the World Bank to improve financial accessibility for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Lao PDR. The agreement, signed with the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Promotion Agency (MSMEPA) at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, will provide additional funding to MARUHAN Japan Bank Lao.

 

These funds will be allocated to four key sectors: agriculture, tourism, handicrafts, and industrial support for agriculture. Since 2021, MARUHAN Japan Bank Lao has successfully disbursed a significant portion of the total financing, demonstrating its continued commitment to the sustainable development of vital industries in Laos, supporting economic growth, and creating job opportunities.
